Research guide based on linked documentation; not a hands-on test.

The selected Reolink RLC-810A package contains two bullet cameras. It is a candidate for a property where two useful viewpoints can be reached with Ethernet and where you are prepared to plan the power and recording equipment. It is not a complete recorder kit.

Our assessment is based on Reolink’s documentation and the verified package identity. We have not measured night performance, alert accuracy or recognition distance. A wired system is an installation choice; it does not by itself prove that every important event will be captured clearly.

Choose the locations before buying the pair

A two-pack is useful when you already have a purpose for both units. Sketch the subject and route each should cover, then trace the actual cable paths. Two nearby cameras aimed at nearly the same area may add less value than one carefully positioned camera and a second covering a different approach.

Think about maintenance access as well as the initial view. You should be able to inspect the lens, mount and connections without turning routine upkeep into a difficult project. Check day and night recordings from a provisional position before final installation.

Budget the infrastructure explicitly

Plan a suitable PoE switch or injectors, or the specified alternative power arrangement, together with Ethernet cables and mounting materials. Active PoE has a specific standard; do not substitute an arbitrary injector because its connector fits. Count ports and power requirements if you expect to add more cameras.

Choose a compatible recording destination and confirm the functions you need with that exact recorder. A general compatibility claim is not enough to establish every recording, event or playback feature. Include any recorder storage in the budget instead of comparing the camera-pack total with a complete system.

Hardware and lens variants change the details

The RLC-810A family has multiple lens and hardware versions. Reolink’s older specification sheet and current information do not give identical memory limits. Confirm the delivered version before buying around a particular field of view or maximum card capacity.

The built-in microphone supports sound recording. Do not assume that this means the camera provides a speaker for a conversation. If speaking to a visitor is part of the requirement, make that a separate specification check.

What a successful purchase should demonstrate

Make an end-to-end test: record the route that matters, find the event afterward and export a playable clip. Check how the chosen storage arrangement behaves if the network or camera power is interrupted, using the equipment’s supported procedures.

This package fits a buyer who wants two deliberate wired viewpoints and accepts the supporting equipment and installation work. If you need only one camera near an existing outlet, compare that complete alternative first. Buying a second unit has value when it serves a defined monitoring job.
