The Z 5 is a full-frame Nikon body for a deliberate stills setup, with a 24.3-megapixel sensor and two UHS-II-compatible SD slots. The extra slot can be useful for separating files or making a second still-image copy, but it should sit alongside a proper backup routine. Because this listing is body only, the lens choice determines how useful the camera will be on day one. A compact zoom suits travel; a prime suits a specific perspective and lighting situation. Existing Nikon DSLR owners should check individual F-mount lens compatibility before assuming an adapter preserves every feature. Build the system around the photographs you actually intend to make.

Important buying checks
Body only; adapted F-mount lens support varies by lens.
NIKKOR Z lenses mount directly. F-mount lenses need an FTZ-family adapter and compatibility check.
Plan the complete setup
- Match the lens mount and sensor coverage to the body. An adapter changes what can attach; it does not guarantee every autofocus or video function.
- Compare the complete package: body, named lens, battery, charger or charging cable, and memory card. Check which items are included before ordering.
- Plan a lens for the subjects you actually photograph. Wide scenes, distant wildlife and close product details need different framing and working distances.
