Research guide based on linked documentation; not a hands-on test.
The selected SanDisk MAX Endurance is the 256GB microSDXC card, model SDSQQVR-256G-GN6IA, supplied with an SD adapter. It is a candidate for repeated recording in a camera whose requirements permit this exact card. The selected offer is not a card-reader bundle.
SanDisk’s specifications provide the performance claims. HotBoxCams has not measured speed, write life or compatibility in individual cameras. The first purchasing check remains the host camera’s guidance, not the word endurance on the packaging.
| Capacity | 256 GB |
|---|---|
| Form factor | microSDXC |
| Interface | UHS-I |
| Rated read speed | Up to 100 MB/s |
| Rated write speed | Up to 40 MB/s |
Where a named recommendation matters
VIOFO’s current FAQ recommends VIOFO cards or SanDisk MAX Endurance and explicitly distinguishes MAX from High Endurance. That makes this series relevant to an A229 Pro card shortlist, subject to the camera’s capacity and formatting requirements.
Do not extend that recommendation to every camera on this site. A different manufacturer may specify another card family, format or recording requirement. Check the exact host model and intended mode before declaring the pairing verified.
Endurance and retained footage answer different questions
SanDisk’s 256GB MAX Endurance claim is up to 120,000 hours of Full HD recording under its stated conditions, with less at higher-resolution workloads. It describes repeated writing over the card’s life under those assumptions. It does not mean that amount of video can be stored simultaneously.
The footage you retain at one time depends on usable capacity and the camera’s recording workload. Combine the bitrates of simultaneous streams, then allow for the camera’s recording partitions and behavior. Use an estimate to choose capacity, and check the actual history after the card is installed.
Peak transfer numbers are not a universal promise
The published read and write figures are maximum ratings under manufacturer conditions. Real performance depends on the host and use. A fast card reader can help with offloading only if the whole connection supports the task; an adapter by itself does not add a reader or a new transfer capability.
Likewise, the included full-size adapter changes physical fit. It does not prove that a full-size SD camera accepts this particular microSD-and-adapter arrangement. Follow the camera’s documentation rather than assuming that fitting in the slot settles compatibility.
What to verify before ordering
Match the MAX Endurance name, 256GB capacity and SDSQQVR model identifier. Confirm the camera’s supported format, capacity and card guidance, then evaluate the seller and actual package contents. Similar-looking High Endurance listings are a different series.
After purchase, preserve any needed files before formatting, follow the camera’s procedure and record in the intended mode. Check playback, normal restart behavior and exported files. Inspect recordings periodically and investigate repeated warnings. This card is useful when its exact compatibility and recording role are established; the endurance claim is supporting information, not a replacement for a working camera-and-card test.
